The Toronto Zine Library & Archive (TZL) is a physical library space run by a collective of zine readers, zine makers and librarians who strive to make zines accessible for the Toronto community.
We believe that zines are an important medium of communication, and that they should be cherished, protected, and promoted. Through conducting workshops at our library and abroad and hosting events that promote zines as a method of open communication and free expression, as well as the library space itself, we aim to make this belief a reality.
We hope to see you at our events, or just browsing through our collection!
As the library is upstairs in the TRANZAC, accessibility is limited. We can offer appointments to view requested zines in rooms downstairs, please be in touch for accessibility requests.
Support Us
TZL has had its home generously provided within the TRANZAC since 2006.
Submitting Zines
We’re always taking donations, please fill out our zine donation form and have it ready with your zine when you donate. When you fill out the donation form, this ensures your zine is catalogued quickly and accurately.
* Unfortunately, due to space restrictions we are no longer holding duplicate materials. We are happy to take duplicates but will likely donate them elsewhere, or will include them in our TZL grab bags which we give away to the community (with a suggested PWYC donation in exchange).
You can donate in-person at the library, or by mail:
